3. Am I suitable for dental implants?
If you have good general and oral health, and enough healthy bone to support an implant, you’re likely a candidate. We offer a full assessment — including 3D imaging — to confirm suitability.
4. What’s the difference between implants and dentures?
Implants are fixed in place and feel like natural teeth — no slipping, clicking, or removal required. They preserve bone and offer unmatched stability, unlike traditional dentures.
5. How long does the full implant process take?
While every case is unique, a complete implant treatment usually takes 3–6 months, including healing time. For certain cases, same-day options may be available

Dr Amir Sharif

Dr. Amir Sharif qualified from Glasgow University in 2014 and began his career with foundation training at the University of Sheffield, followed by a year of core training in Aberdeen. During this time Dr. Sharif successfully passed his MFDS examinations, earning membership to the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. After completing his core training, Dr. Sharif transitioned back into general dentistry where he focussed on his cosmetic and surgical skills.
Dr Sharif recognised that he had a true passion for cosmetic and surgical work and in 2018 was awarded his Master’s degree in Dental Implantology, with merit, from the University of Manchester. Dr. Sharif now dedicates his career exclusively to dental implantology, accepting referrals for a wide range of implant and complex surgical procedures.
Throughout his career, he has been passionate about training and mentoring fellow dental professionals in implant placement and restoration. Outside of his professional life, Amir enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
